NorNet Core gets international

The Institute for Experimental Mathematics (IEM) of the University of Duisburg-Essen in the city of Essen (Germany) is now hosting NorNet Core’s first international site! International sites make it possible to examine and evaluate the connectivity of the Norwegian networks with other countries.

The new site is particularly also a cooperation with the Computer Networking Technology Group at the IEM to support research on multi-homed transport protocols, particularly the Concurrent Multipath Transfer extension for the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (CMT-SCTP) as well as Multi-Path TCP (MPTCP).
